I'm facing a new dilemma...

i have been floating on these boards for close to a week now.

kudos to all you peeps who actively search out the real truth and make it apparent to everyone.

i posted my personal story earlier, hopefully those that read it will understand my dilemma now.... do i try to convert my brother out of the organization?.

i found some ladies purse at the local shopping mall parking lot tonight, it had her entire life in it, her social security card, her cell phone, her cash, her credit cards, even her daughters social security card.. from looking through the contents, me and saffron were able to find out many things about her:.

1)she had recently moved from way out in the country to columbia maryland... 2)she was probably divorced from a man of middle eastern origens.

3)she was white.

does anybody honestly think that all this exposure about the wtb&ts and the un really going to matter much in the jw community?

sure, it matters to us, since we already know the truth about the wt.

but it won't even make a dent in the jw population.

more of a realization..about 9-11

has anyone else noticed - or has it escaped the general population that the date of the attack - 9-11 is also the number that we in the usa use when we are in need of assistance?

i just wonder if that date was chosen for that reason also??.

as jws we learned a lot about persuasion and how to get people to accept our ideas.

we had role plays on over coming objections.

we were taught how to anticipate typical questions and respond to them.

JW Children: Feeling alone and sad

friday many american schools recited the pledge of allegiance to the nation's flag simultaneously, at 2pm eastern time (8am in hawaii).

to be sure, the pressure on children of jw's was great because of the nationalistic feelings that have swept america in the aftermath of the 9/11 terror attacks.. should jw parents simply have removed their children for that afternoon?

or perhaps armed them with a better explanation (about why they won't say the pledge) then "it's because of my religion"???.

it was asked of me in chat to post my story here.

i had plans to do so.. but wanted to meet everyone in real chat first.. first off... any info i post about myslef will put me at a great disadvantage on these boards.. so if you could please relpy.. tell me your story as well.

ok where to start.... i grew up, like most jw's, in a troubled home.
